Logistics Sector
To advance professional standards in humanitarian response, SAVE CONGO delivers a 45-day online training programme in the Logistics sector through its Humanitarian School, offered in five languages - French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic. The programme culminates in an internationally recognized certification and is facilitated by qualified academic instructors and experienced field practitioners, including experts affiliated with the World Food Programme (WFP).
The training is designed to strengthen participants' capacity to plan, manage, and coordinate logistics operations in complex humanitarian environments. It provides comprehensive instruction in humanitarian supply chain management, enabling participants to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of relief assistance.
Participants are equipped with practical skills in warehousing and inventory management systems, including stock control, storage standards, and pipeline management. The programme also addresses transport planning, covering multimodal logistics operations by air, road, and river, with a focus on optimizing routes and ensuring cost-effectiveness in challenging contexts.
In addition, the course develops competencies in emergency telecommunications coordination, supporting effective information flow and operational continuity in crisis situations. Training in cargo tracking and fleet management further enhances participants' ability to monitor movements and maintain accountability throughout the supply chain.
Particular emphasis is placed on access constraints and last-mile delivery, equipping participants with strategies to reach populations in remote or hard-to-access areas, including those affected by insecurity or poor infrastructure.
The programme is offered at a registration fee of USD 25. Upon confirmation of enrolment, participants receive a secure access link to the online learning platform.
