Project Management Training

To strengthen the capacities of humanitarian and development actors, SAVE CONGO delivers a 30-day online training programme on project management, offered in five languages - French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic through its " Humanitarian School ". The programme culminates in internationally recognized certification. The course combines video lectures and written materials and is facilitated by university professors and practitioners, including experts affiliated with the United Nations system.

The training adopts a comprehensive project cycle approach, beginning with project design and formulation. Participants acquire practical skills in problem analysis, needs identification, development of a Theory of Change, and application of the Logical Framework Approach (LogFrame), with a strong focus on aligning proposals with donor priorities.

The programme further introduces Results-Based Management (RBM), a core UN methodology, enabling participants to define outputs, outcomes, and impact, develop indicators, and align projects with global frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through modules on planning and budgeting, participants learn to prepare work plans, allocate resources, and develop realistic budgets and financial forecasts. This is complemented by training in grant and donor management, including proposal writing, compliance with donor requirements, and management of agreements with partners such as the United Nations Development Programme and the European Union.

The course also covers project implementation and operations, including coordination, procurement, logistics, and partnership management. A strong emphasis is placed on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) to ensure effective performance tracking and continuous improvement.

Additional modules address financial management and compliance, risk management, and procurement and supply chain processes, including coordination with systems such as the United Nations Global Marketplace.

Finally, the programme strengthens competencies in reporting and communication, stakeholder engagement, and project closure and sustainability. Cross-cutting priorities such as gender equality, environmental safeguards, accountability to affected populations, and localization are integrated throughout to ensure inclusive, transparent, and sustainable project delivery.

Registration for this course is set at a fee of USD 10. Upon successful registration, participants will receive a dedicated access link to the training platform.
