NFIs-Non-Food Items Sector
SAVE CONGO delivers a 45-day online training programme in Non-Food Items (NFIs) sector through its " Humanitarian School ", offered in five languages - French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic. The programme culminates in an internationally recognized certification and is facilitated by qualified academic instructors and experienced field practitioners, including experts affiliated with United Nations agencies and operational partners.
The training is designed to strengthen participants' capacity to plan, implement, and monitor NFI interventions in humanitarian settings, in accordance with internationally recognized standards. It provides comprehensive guidance on NFI needs assessment and targeting, enabling participants to identify priority needs and ensure equitable and efficient assistance to affected populations.
Participants are further trained in the composition and management of standard NFI kits, including household items, dignity kits, and seasonal assistance packages such as winterization kits, ensuring relevance to context-specific needs. The programme also addresses procurement and distribution systems, with a focus on transparency, accountability, and efficiency throughout the supply chain.
In addition, the course develops competencies in post-distribution monitoring (PDM), enabling participants to assess the effectiveness, appropriateness, and impact of assistance delivered. Emphasis is also placed on supply chain integration with logistics systems, including coordination with mechanisms supported by agencies such as the World Food Programme, to ensure timely and effective delivery of relief items.
Registration fee: USD 25. Upon confirmation of enrolment, participants receive a secure access link to the online learning platform.
